Bản mẫu này chỉ phù hợp với các đơn vị phân loại có tên được quy định bởi "Bộ luật Quốc tế về Danh pháp Động vật học". Đối với các bậc phân loại dưới loài có tên được quy định bởi "Bộ luật Quốc tế về Danh pháp cho tảo, nấm và thực vật", hãy xem Bản mẫu:Infraspeciesbox.

Cách sử dụng

Cách sử dụng gần giống với Bản mẫu:Automatic taxobox, ngoại trừ việc bạn cần phải nêu rõ:

• |genus=tên của chi; ví dụ: Panthera
• |subgenus=liên kết đến phân chi nếu có
• |species=tên định loài; ví dụ: leo
• |species_link= (Liên kết tùy chọn đến trang về loài; mặc định là chi loài)
• |subspecies=tên định phụ loài; ví dụ: melanochaita

Không giống như {{Speciesbox}}, |taxon= không thể được sử dụng; ba phần của danh pháp ba phần phải được cung cấp riêng biệt.

Nếu phân loài đã tuyệt chủng, nhưng loài và chi thì vẫn còn, thì bạn cần phải nêu rõ:

• |extinct=yes hoặc year (để hiển thị năm tuyệt chủng, cần có tham số "year" nếu |status= được thiết lập, bất kể chi đó có bị tuyệt chủng hay không.)

Nếu loài (và do đó cả phân loài) đã tuyệt chủng, nhưng chi thì không, thì bạn cần phải nêu rõ:
