Purpose

This redirect category (rcat) template sorts redirects into two categories:

1. Thể loại:Trang đổi hướng đến không gian tên thể loại – for PNRs and CNRs, and
2. Thể loại:Trang đổi hướng không cần in – only redirects from the main-article namespace (mainspace) to a category page

In 2003, efforts were begun to support the Wikimedia Foundation's goal of increasing access and availability of Wikipedia articles in printed versions. Mainspace redirects that target pages in the category namespace are not suitable for a printed version. In other words they are unprintworthy. See below for those rare cases that are printworthy.

This rcat is not for use on the soft redirects that are in category namespace. If placed on a category redirect, it will not populate the expected categories; it will instead be sorted to Thể loại:Pages with templates in the wrong namespace.

No rcat should ever be used to tag any soft redirect.

Usage

Use this rcat template in any namespace except category namespace.

• Apply this rcat to a redirect in the following manner:

#REDIRECT [[Thể loại:(target page name)]]{{Rcat shell|{{R to category namespace}}}}

and when the redirect is in article mainspace, printworthiness should also be tagged:

#REDIRECT [[Thể loại:(target page name)]]{{Rcat shell|{{R to category namespace}}{{R unprintworthy}}}}

For rare cases that are printworthy:

#REDIRECT [[Thể loại:(target page name)]]{{Rcat shell|{{R to category namespace|printworthy=yes}}{{R printworthy}}}}

Template {{Rcat shell}} is an alias for the Redirect category shell template, which may be used to add as many appropriate rcats as needed, usually from one to seven, along with their parameters, to a redirect. For more information see the documentation on its template page. This rcat may also tag a redirect individually:

#REDIRECT [[Thể loại:(target page name)]]{{R to category namespace}}

This is in accord with instructions found at Wikipedia:REDCAT.

• Use this rcat to tag any redirect from a page outside of the category namespace to a category.
• This rcat should never be used on a redirect that is in the category namespace that targets any other page.
