Abdullah Al Araf Furat is a Bangladeshi Wikimedian and a member of the Dhaka Wikimedia Community. He is actively involved in the Wikimedia movement and contributes to initiatives that promote open knowledge, collaborative learning, and community-based knowledge sharing.
Furat is a student with a strong interest in open knowledge ecosystems, digital literacy, and inclusive access to information. Alongside his academic studies, he participates in community-driven initiatives and volunteer organizations that focus on knowledge dissemination and public engagement through collaborative platforms.
He has a background in Islamic education and is a Hafiz of the Qur’an. Currently, he is pursuing his education within Bangladesh’s three parallel education systems, enabling him to engage with diverse academic traditions and learning methodologies.
He enjoys working in multilingual and culturally diverse environments and collaborating with individuals from different backgrounds. His involvement extends across Wikimedia projects as well as other volunteer-led and knowledge-focused organizations, where he continues to learn, contribute, and support collaborative knowledge development.
