This template can be used to present a 32-team bracket for tournaments in which participants are not assigned seeds. A variety of options allows for a third-place game to be presented, the brackets to not display when matchups have not yet been set and for the winner, runner-up and third place team to be displayed with gold, silver and bronze backgrounds.

Enter game data sequentially with unnamed parameters. Each game has five available parameters:
- Text at the top of the game box
- Name of the team to display in the top portion of the game box. May be Wikilinked.
- Score of the team in the top portion of the game box.
- Name of the team to display in the bottom portion of the game box. May be Wikilinked.
- Score of the team in the bottom portion of the game box.
Games are entered first for the first round, next for the second round, next for the third round, next for the fourth round, next for the final and then for the consolation game.
Data checking
There is absolutely no data verification. If a parameter is not included, it is given a default value. If you enter a team's name in the wrong game field in a later round after it won and advanced, it will display in the wrong place. Ensure that all values input show up as expected when template is used.

Note that instead of removing the r1notyet parameter <!-- --> tags have been placed around it, so other Wikipedia editors will not wonder what it does. This also preserves the tag for later use if the template is copied and pasted for display for a future tournament. Also, having noticed that there wee no overtime games in the first two rounds, the overtime message at the bottom of the bracket is suppressed by entering ot=no. The parameter was left out in the first data set and defaulted to the value of yes. Beware that including the parameter with no value such as ot= will be treated by the template the same as ot=no. In this example, all the teams were in the right spot in the first round. With actual data, the game boxes will probably need to be moved after each round.
